Lust-haves! From Ramp to Rack 2.0

Hey Pretty Ladies!

I am back with the a follow-up post to my last one-Lust-haves! From ramp to rack. 1.0 in the “Spring-Summer 2016 Trends” series. And it’s a mid-week one too! I cannot believe my own enthusiasm in trying to put this thing together and there’s always that hope that it would be useful to a few ladies and those few end up with shopping carts brimming with cool fashion. (Thank me later!)

The next trend has been on & off the fashion scene for quite a long long time now.

2. Bold Gingham/Plaids have been associated with blazers/coats and winters for a quite a significant while but hey these can be great for this summer with some real cool ways to flaunt them. As for the difference between the two,”gingham” has two colors(one, usually being white) & “plaid” usually has more than two colors doing the horizontal & vertical criss-crossing.

The Plaid & Gingham trend is classic yet refreshing at the same time. This looks good on everyone. EVERYONE! To top it all, this is the most versatile trend among all of them, so you can style it any way you want, incorporate it in your outfit in any form, be it skirts, shirts, playsuits, trousers, dresses, just about anything. AND it’s not just the clothing, go plaid-crazy in your accessories too! Go for bags, box clutches in plaid for the edgy look. Plaid canvas espadrilles could be your go-to footwear this summer.

Layer it up. For example, you could wear a plaid shirt on a solid color shirt. Or a plaid shirt on an LBD/LWD.
Break monotones. If u have a black & black ensemble going on, you could break it with a bright colored plaid shirt or a plaid scarf.
Wear booties. Booties, if you can wear ’em this summer, could amp up the street style look of gingham/plaid.
Mix n match with other prints. Floral print looks great and edgy when paired with gingham/plaid, and if you’re not daring enough, you could go for plaid on a clothing item and floral on shoes/bags.
No shiny plaid.
No tablecloth plaid.
Don’t wear plaid on leggings. Could make your legs look weird-shaped.
I wouldn’t suggest wearing plaid jumpsuit. Too much going on makes it all wrong.                 Do not add in too many different prints with that plaid piece.
No bold plaid if the cut of the outfit is complicated. Keep the plaid subtle in that case.

Remember, the idea is to keep it effortless!
